Kelly Bowman-AllenOwner/Head TrainerKelly's passion in horses began at a very young age on her families backyard farm in Connecticut. Her parents needed a companion horse for her older sister's show horse. In came "shadow," a 12.2 hand welsh-shetland cross. Kelly was hooked. This pony taught her true grit. He believed it was his duty to teach Kelly every aspect of horsemanship. He also thought it was his mission to dump her in the dirt every chance he got. Kelly graduated from Wesleyan University with a BA in psychology in 2007. She moved to Oregon the following year. The dream of owning and running her own program came to fruition in 2009. United Equine has expanded from a single lesson horse to a well sought after program. Currently she is competing with a horse she developed herself at the Grand Pix level. She travels the west coast competing in the A-circuit.
Kelly lives close by to both facilities with her husband and two beautiful children. |
